As the Consulate General, it is my pleasure to assist visitors wishing to learn more about our beautiful country Nepal. Nepal is home to diverse cultures and landscapes. In one small, but unique nation we have the plains of the Terai as well as the highest peak in the world, Sagarmatha, also known as Mt. Everest. Introduction of Honorary Consulate General- Sydney:

Mr. Deepak Kumar Khadka, Honorary Consul-General of Nepal in New South Wales, Australia was appointed by Government of Nepal in 2009. Mr. Khadka has had over 30 years of general management experience in the construction, property and education sectors, as well as significant involvement in various social enterprises. With a background in Civil Engineering, he was involved in commercial and infrastructure projects in China and Hong Kong. Prior to this, he has worked for the Department of Roads in Nepal as an Engineer.
Mr. Khadka earned his degree in Civil Engineering from the Adamson University in Manila, Philippines with scholarship , during which he received the award, Outstanding International Student from the President of the Philippines.
Mr. Khadka is also a recipient of the prestigious Order of the Gorkha Dakshina Bahu as presented by the Late King Birendra of Nepal, for distinguished contribution to Nepal in the field of
social services.
